The economics major, one of the earliest offered at Saint Joseph College, dates back to 1935. The current economics curriculum is marked by attention to a global perspective, sensitivity to methodological pluralism, and attentiveness to the twin aspects of rigor and relevance. As an economics major today, you will benefit from:

An Outstanding Curriculum
You will have several choices to select from. You may choose a global focus wherein you will be exposed to courses on international political economy, international financial economics, the world economy and women in the world economy. Or you may choose the standard economics major or the mathematics/economics concentration. Whatever you choose, you will be exposed to the most current theoretical and policy developments.
