An Outstanding Curriculum
Following introductory courses, students select from a variety of specialized courses, including African-American Families, Urban Sociology, Women in American Society, Research Methodology and more. As a Sociology major you will benefit from small classes and one-on-one learning with a highly professional faculty.
Internship Opportunities
Students participate in on-site internships with agencies such as the Village for Families and Children and the Institute for Community Research and other state and private agencies.
Professional Preparation
Graduates of our program are currently employed as counselors and supervisors for institutions like Manchester Memorial Hospital, Hartford Hospital and Aetna Life and Casualty.
