He continues to provide state and national continuing education programs in the areas of community pharmacy; pharmacy law; pain, diabetes, and asthma management; and pharmacy technician training.
John Parisi’s achievements have been featured in numerous publications, on national public radio, and on statewide television. Parisi philosophy of professional practice is based equally on the viewpoint of the prescriber, the pharmacist, and the patient. He asserts that “no matter what type of pharmacy a student chooses to practice, that communication with the patient and involvement in patient medication management is vital.” He also insists that “it should not be an option but a burning desire of the pharmacist to meet these professional requirements” and that “interpersonal skills and effective team participation with prescribers and patients is as important as the extensive knowledge and commitment to academia necessary for ‘good’ practice.”
