Yingnan Zhao, M.S., Ph.D.Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration

Yingnan Zhao earned her PhD in Health Systems Management from Tulane University in 2011. At Tulane, Dr. Zhao has participated in a variety of research projects, with an extensive experience of secondary database analysis. She has developed her areas of expertise in health systems, health outcomes, and pharmacoeconomics. Her research interests span establishing the essential need for new medications and evaluating new medications comparatively in real-world applications. The majority of her research has been conducted in the area of chronic disease (e.g., diabetes and hypertension) and quality of care for health systems.
