Reverend John J. Stack Teaching
Excellence Award
Every spring faculty and students nominate a Saint Joseph College full-time faculty member who has made
outstanding contributions to student learning and excellence in teaching. The award is bestowed at Commencement and the recipient
delivers the Convocation Address at the start of the fall semester. The Award was established in 1992 in honor of Reverand John J. Stack, S.T.D., Chair of the Department of Religious Studies. Reverand Stack retired in 2002 and was named Professor Emeritus. Past award winners are listed here.
