Campus Visitors and Coronavirus (COVID-19). In-person tours of St. John’s are suspended until at least May 1. Instead, take the virtual tour and register for a virtual visit!
Undergraduate Students Graduate Students
Monday to Friday — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A weekday campus tour will provide you and your family with a student-led tour of St. John’s College, and an opportunity to speak with a member of the Admissions staff. Please allow 90 minutes for the tour and an Admissions Counselor meeting. During the academic year, we offer guided tours Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
You can extend your visit by selecting a day visit, which includes the prospective student observing class and having lunch with a current SJC student in our dining hall. A morning visit lasts from 9 a.m.–1 p.m., and an afternoon visit lasts from 12–4:30 p.m. For a full day visit, you can expect to be on campus from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

Overnight visits are available on most Mondays and Thursdays during the academic year for high school juniors and seniors only. The overnight visit is structured so that you observe evening seminar, the cornerstone class of our distinctive program. An overnight visit begins at 3 p.m. on Monday or Thursday and concludes at 3 p.m. the following day (Tuesday or Friday).
Your visit will start with a campus tour, which families are welcome to join. Next, you’ll have dinner with a student host, then attend seminar. You’ll spend the night in one of our prospective student dorm rooms, which are outfitted with beds, linens, pillows, and towels. The next day you’ll observe additional classes as well as meet with an admissions counselor.

Accepted undergraduate students may be reimbursed up to $500 for their documented travel expenses when visiting the Santa Fe campus.
To receive reimbursement, you must be accepted to the Santa Fe campus and travel to visit us for an overnight stay. Once here, give us your St. John’s travel-related receipts and we’ll mail you a reimbursement check that covers up to $500 of your expenses. (Allow 30 days for the check to be cut and mailed.) Reimbursable travel expenses include student airfare, parent lodging, car rental, fuel, and driving mileage. One reimbursement will be awarded per student. Contact visitsjc(at)sjc.edu with questions.
A campus visit provides a prospective student the opportunity to speak with the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and to attend classes where the curriculum and the teaching style offered at St. John’s College are best demonstrated.
During the fall and spring terms, Monday and Thursday are the best days to visit for the Liberal Arts and the Eastern Classics programs. During the summer term, Tuesday and Thursday are the best days to visit. Contact santafe.giadmissions(at)sjc.edu to schedule your visit.
