FREEING MINDS A Campaign for St. John's College
In Annapolis, students take advantage of College Creek, the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay; many join the sailing or the crew team and compete in regattas with other schools in the region. Students can also borrow a canoe or a sailboat from the college boathouse and head out on the water right behind campus, or enjoy a picnic on the shore.
There are also tennis courts on campus, and the campus grounds are perfect for impromptu games of Frisbee and croquet. In town there are several options for boating, including sailing and kayaking excursions. National parks and seashores—many within a few hours of campus—include Assateague, Chincoteague, and the Shenandoah mountains.
