The Annapolis Cup Attendee Code of Conduct

Information on this page refers to the 2023 Annapolis Cup event. Please check back in Spring 2024 for information about next year’s event.

All members of the college community and visitors share responsibility for upholding standards of decency and civility and have the right to expect courteous behavior from others and have corresponding responsibility to behave courteously towards others. Underlying both these principles is the understanding that the well-being of the college community, which includes attendees of special events, depends largely on personal self-regulation through public-spirited acceptance of what is for the common good.

This includes a commitment to:

  • Treat others with dignity and respect;
  • Uphold standards of decency and civility;
  • Maintain community conditions that are conducive to a supportive learning environment;
  • Discourage any form of harassing behavior, racism, or bullying;
  • Be honest and forthcoming about information that may negatively affect the well-being of the community.

Additionally, these specific rules apply to attending the Annapolis Cup:

  • Outside alcohol is prohibited. Outside food and sealed nonalcoholic beverages in plastic containers are permitted. All coolers and large bags are subject to inspection.
  • Purchased alcohol must not be removed from the event site.
  • Disorderly conduct of any kind is prohibited. Intoxicated or otherwise impaired individuals will be removed.
  • IDs will be checked and wristbands will be assigned to all attendees. Wristbands must be worn at all times.
  • Violation of Maryland or federal law, including all laws governing the possession and consumption of alcohol and other illegal substances, is prohibited.
  • No lighttable tobacco products, vapes, or electronic cigarettes.
  • No laser pointers, weapons, or selfie sticks.
  • No pets allowed. Guests with a need to be accompanied by trained service or support animals should contact annapolis.events(at)sjc.edu at least 7 days in advance of the event.
  • Tickets are nontransferable and are not to be resold.
  • Tickets are nonrefundable.
  • Reentry is allowed with issued wristband and security screening. Security reserves the right to not readmit attendees in violation of code of conduct.
  • We do not have a specific dress code, but we do ask that you wear appropriate clothes, including shoes.
