This coffee table book celebrates the art of Barbara Winiarski and includes 19 of her paintings that having compelling intimacy. Her early influences—as well as later ones ranging from Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Michelangelo to Norman Rockwell, teacher Gail Chase Bien, and a collection of family photography spanning six generations—catalyzed a prolific period of painting. The paintings capture moments in people’s daily lives while drawing the viewer into a space of contemplation.
