St. John’s is a community, which means students don’t take this journey alone. You provide supportive resources that help them succeed in the Program—and the training to care for one another.

Ready to support everything you care about at St. John’s? Here’s how you can.

Does my gift to the Annual Fund support the Freeing Minds campaign?

Yes, gifts to the Annual Fund, including the Fund for St. John’s, are one of the most effective ways to support the Freeing Minds campaign. Not only do these gifts count toward the $300 million goal, but they also go to work right away, addressing all four of our campaign priorities.

Can I make my gift by phone?

We are happy to help you make your gift by phone. Just call us at 505-984-6109.

Where do I send a check?

You can send your Annual Fund gifts via U.S. Mail to the following address:

St. John’s College Advancement
PO Box 715905
Philadelphia, PA 19171-5905

Can I use my gift to honor a loved one?

You sure can, and we will be happy to let your loved one—or the family of a loved one—know that you have remembered them in this way. To make the gift, please visit community.stjohnscollege.edu/giving and then select your gift amount, choose “the Fund for St. John’s” (or another fund), and click “add donation.” At that point you will be asked for more details, including information about the person you wish to remember.

Can I designate my gift for a specific purpose?

The most popular way to regularly support the St. John’s experience is through the Fund for St. John’s, which allows the college to address the most urgent needs of our students and tutors. Any priority that speaks to your heart is most likely covered through the Fund for St. John’s.

If you prefer to direct your gift exclusively to a particular area, please visit our advanced giving options page to support one or more of the following:

  • Johnnie Scholarships: Your scholarship support enables students of all backgrounds to join the conversation.
  • Tutor Fund: These gifts support tutors and provide them with opportunities for professional development.
  • Graduate Institute Fund: Provide our graduate students with access to financial aid, academic enrichment opportunities, on-campus housing, and other support.
  • Library Fund: Gifts to the Library Fund support special projects, new acquisitions, technology upgrades, and needed renovations.
  • Campus Improvements Fund (Pritzker Challenge): When you support campus improvements, the Jay Pritzker Foundation will match every $2 with another $1.
How do I secure a matching gift from my employer?

Each employer approaches employee giving differently. The first step is to ask your Human Resources office about the appropriate forms or process. If your company’s policies require St. John’s to fill out a portion of the matching gift form, please email us at development(at)sjc.edu so we can guide you through that step.

How do I make changes to my pledge or recurring gift?

Please reach out to us by phone at 505-984-6109 and we will be happy to assist. You can also email us at development(at)sjc.edu to let us know that a change is needed, and we will get back to you quickly for details.

How is a gift to the Annual Fund different from a gift to the St. John’s Endowment?

Simply put, gifts to the Annual Fund meet the needs of today, while gifts to the endowment address the priorities of tomorrow. Your gifts to the Annual Fund, including the Fund for St. John’s, go to work right away, providing our students with the scholarships, support initiatives, academic assistance, and extracurricular activities that make their St. John’s experience so transformative. Conversely, gifts to the St. John’s Endowment are permanently invested, providing the college with a dependable stream of annual revenue that can be used to meet a wide variety of needs, year after year, so tuition doesn’t have to fill that role.

Will my gift support the Pritzker Challenge?

Yes, you can direct your gift to our campus improvements fund and every $2 will be matched with another $1 by the Jay Pritzker Foundation. To help meet this challenge, visit the Pritzker Challenge giving page.

Alumni and Friends are Making a Difference

Your gifts to Freeing Minds are keeping the Program strong today while preparing the college for an even stronger tomorrow.
