Frequently Asked Questions
The ceremony will be held in front of Evans Science Lab, on the Santa Fe campus on August 6 at 10:30 a.m.
Guest seating is available directly in front of Weigle Hall and on the grassy knoll next to Santa Fe Hall. The knoll will not have chairs, but there is shade available.
In order to stay in compliance with our campus’ current COVID practices, we have to limit the number of guests per graduating student to five (5).
The commencement ceremony will last approximately 50 minutes.
Because the ceremony will be held outside, we suggest that you wear sunscreen and/or sun protection. Water will be provided. The ceremony is rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors where further restrictions to guests and seating will be necessary.
There is no formal event following the ceremony. We will distribute snack boxes for graduates and guests to enjoy off campus.
Parking is available at the Visitor Parking Lot (Lot A), in the Staff and Faculty Lot (Lot C), and in the larger lot behind Weigle Hall near Lot E (but not Lot E, proper.)
We have hired a photographer for the event. Photos will be available for free online about a week after the ceremony. A link will be sent out to the graduates when they are ready.
