On-campus Summer Academy has been postponed to summer 2021. You can experience the next best thing during summer 2020: the online Great Books Summer Seminars for High School Students.
It’s easy to apply to the Summer Academy. Go to our online application, select the session(s) you wish to attend, provide necessary contact information, and write a short (100 word) paragraph.
Simply upload, email, fax, or snail mail an unofficial transcript to us and your application is complete. It will take up to 10 business days for your application to be processed and reviewed.
An acceptance letter will be emailed to you along with a deposit/payment form.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
A $200 deposit is required by June 1, 2020 to secure your place in the session(s) you wish to attend. If you are attending multiple sessions on one campus, a single $200 deposit is all that’s needed. If attending sessions on both campuses, deposits must be submitted to each location.
Summer Academy tuition is $1,100 per week if the deposit is received by June 1. Tuition covers room, meals, books, activity fees, and cool St. John’s swag.
We understand that the cost of the Summer Academy may be out of reach for families and will do our best to provide some assistance to those with financial need. To apply for financial assistance, click on one of the Scholarship Application buttons.

Because the programs on our respective campuses are run independently, we ask that you submit the Scholarship Application to the campus hosting the session(s) you are attending. If you are attending sessions on both campuses, the Scholarship Application must be submitted to both locations.
The Summer Academy Scholarship Application and required attachments are due on or before May 8, 2020.
