GLS Symposium Information for Presenters and Attendees

Though the symposium is open to all, presenters must be from affiliated institutions. Because affiliated institutions pay a participation fee, registration costs are automatically covered for those institutions’ individual attendees. There is, however, a $25 fee for all attendees who are not affiliated with a participating institution.

Included in the registration fee are an hors d’oeuvres reception on Friday evening, a light continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and lunch on Saturday.

Call for Papers

Students and alumni of participating institutions who wish to present a paper at the symposium must first consult with their individual program directors before submitting a 250-word proposal to gls.stjohnssantafe(at)sjc.edu no later than Monday, March 25.

Selected students are given twenty minutes’ presentation time, followed by a ten-minute question-and-answer period. Sessions run concurrently throughout the day on Saturday and on Sunday morning.
