April is National Poetry Month, and what better way to celebrate than having a custom poem written just for you.
On April 21, The Mitchell Gallery will kick off Poetry & Picas: Circus of Words to celebrate the Robert Indiana: Love and Hope art exhibition. From noon to 4 p.m., professional and amateur poets will create personalized poems about love and hope on manual typewriters at eight locations throughout historic Annapolis. Collect poems from all eight locations and join the Poets Reception at 4:30 p.m. in the Francis Scott Key Lobby at St. John’s College.
This event is sponsored in part by Four Rivers Heritage Area with support from Anne Arundel County Public Schools, What’s Up? Media, Texture Magazine, and the City of Annapolis.
