Gregg and Stacy Irwin

Our son is a St. John’s graduate and our daughter is currently a junior at the Santa Fe campus. How do you put into words what it means to watch your children face head on the challenge of becoming adult? To see them consciously lay a foundation for all their choices to come, not only academically, but socially and ethically. For them to hear the hard questions we all have to answer, that they learn to think deeply about and talk through with others, melding with the minds of other great thinkers. To feel their struggle.

We support our children in this endeavor, with all our hearts.

We give to St. John’s because they also support our children, even more than we do on a daily basis. And they support not only our children, but others as well. We support St. John’s because they support every student who chooses this difficult path.

When our children are young, we tell them You can be anything you want, but we don’t tell them how, and they are likely too young to know why they want to be that something. At St. John’s they learn how, and they learn why they want to be.
