Gifts of appreciated assets, rather than cash, can be made to St. John’s College and may provide special tax advantages to you, the donor. Giving appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds can allow for the avoidance of capital gains taxes and, in most cases, a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the donation. To learn more about these types of gifts, please contact Laurie Reinhardt at 443-482-6575 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or Phelosha Collaros at 505-984-6109 or email@example.com. Your employer or your spouse’s employer may offer a program that matches charitable gifts. Matching gifts can double or even triple your gift to the St. John’s College. To initiate a matching gift, complete your and/or your spouse’s employer’s matching gift form and send it along with your donation.
To find out if your and/or your spouse’s employer has a matching gift program, contact your human resources department or the Annapolis Development and Alumni Relations Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 410-626-2507 or the Santa Fe Development and Alumni Relations Office at email@example.com or 505-984-6184.

It is easy to make a gift or arrange a pledge by calling the Development and Alumni Relations Office. Pledges often allow you to consider a gift of a larger size than a one-time gift, as pledges offer the flexibility to spread out the gift over a specified period of time. Pledges are not legally binding and can be set according to your desired payment plan.
