Santa Fe Bookstore

As we come closer to the beginning of the school year, the Bookstore would like to encourage all incoming and returning students to start purchasing their beginning course materials early from our Santa Fe Bookstore website.

With the large number of students expected to arrive the week of Convocation, the more orders that we can process beforehand will help us out greatly, as we will be short-staffed during the weekend of Convocation.

Undergraduate students can pay for their books with their student ID number, each undergraduate is given a $200 credit at the beginning of every semester to spend as they choose. This is not available for graduate students.

From our website, you can purchase your books for class and have us hold them in the store for you until you arrive on campus.

Shop early, buy the first few books you’ll need, skip the line, and welcome back!

The Santa Fe campus bookstore stocks all books required for St. John’s classes. Multiple translations and/or editions are available of most books on the reading list. Should you buy all your texts at the start of the year? It depends. Your tutors may express a preference, and you’re going to hear many opinions from upperclassmen. You will also develop your own tastes. The basic things you need to begin are: C.A.E. Luschnig’s Introduction to Ancient Greek, Second Edition, Euclid’s Elements, and volume 1 of the Freshman Lab Manual.

The campus bookstore accepts VISA, Discover, MasterCard, or American Express credit cards. Cash and personal checks with a phone number are also welcome.

What the bookstore stocks: program books, extensive titles of fiction, poetry, reference, history, sciences, philosophy, religion and Eastern studies, psychology, cognitive science, writing reference, biology, physical science, drama, language studies, mathematics, nature and the Southwest, art books, graphic novels, children’s literature, and music.

Special orders are taken at no extra charge. There is also a variety of sweatshirts, T-shirts, baseball caps, and other St. John’s College paraphernalia. The bookstore carries office supplies like notepads, pens, binders, and pencils, and an assortment of basic sundries. The store also offers a fax service.
