George S. Kalandadze (A22) is many things—a storyteller for brands, a part-time poet, and one-time attendant of the St. John’s boathouse in Annapolis. He is also a fiercely optimistic and careful person when it comes to his career, life, and education.
Thanks to alumni and friends, St. John’s has swept past the $300 million goal for the Freeing Minds campaign—months ahead of the campaign’s scheduled conclusion on June 30, 2023.
“Come one, come all” is the message of Johnnie Week, inviting alumni and families to return to either or both campuses, or reconnect with St. John’s through a week of virtual programming.
The Elizabeth Myers Mitchell Art Museum will reopen to the public on February 17. The museum closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and for the past three years has offered online-programming while the surrounding space underwent renovations. The newly renamed Mitchell Art Museum, previously known as the Mitchell Gallery, is the only art museum in Anne Arundel County accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, and one of only five to be accredited in the state of Maryland.
