MALA Class Descriptions

St. John’s College was founded in 1696 and is best known for the Great Books curriculum that was adopted in 1937. The list of books has evolved slightly over the last century, however, the tradition of having all students read foundational texts from the past 3,000 years remains. While reading lists are grouped by segment, many authors and texts span across areas.
