Liberal Arts in the Netherlands

St. John’s College has partnered with the Pascal Institute, located in Leiden, the Netherlands, to offer the Huygens Master’s Program in Liberal Arts. Huygens students spend one or two terms at the Pascal Institute as part of their MALA degree, immersing themselves in Europe’s rich intellectual heritage while joining a transatlantic community of learners. Students can choose to complete the rest of the degree at St. John’s in Annapolis, Santa Fe, or online through the school’s low-residency program to earn a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts.

The Huygens Master’s Program is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Other program offerings from the Pascal Institute do not fall under this accreditation.
