Daniel T. Russell (A05), partner at Heimlantz, was named to the NACVA “40 under 40” list for 2021. He cites his St. John’s education as foundational because “St. John’s is all about the why…where we’ve come from and why the world is the way it is.”
See what our summer fellows at the Academy of the Newington-Cropsey Foundation, Hastings-on-Hudson, have created. In two intensive weeks on a fully funded fellowship, Enkh-Od Batzorig (A22), Clare Collins (A22), and Monica Molina (A22) progressed through life drawings, sculpting terra cotta figures which will be cast into bronze, carving linoleum blocks for printmaking, and finishing with wood and marble carving.
St. John’s College has announced its fall formal lecture series. On Friday evenings, members of the St. John’s College community head to the Great Hall to hear a lecture or concert from visiting scholars, artists, poets or faculty.
Fulbright Fellow Steven Werlin (A85) studied German and Heidegger, not Haitian Creole and microfinance. He credits St. John’s for honing his thinking and writing skills as well as connections leading to his life’s work—alleviating poverty through the nonprofit Fonkoze.
