The Counseling & Wellness Services team is equipped to help students with many conditions; however, it is possible that you need a level of care beyond what we can provide. While we make every effort to identify these circumstances prior to scheduling an appointment, this determination may not be made until you have met with a provider. In that case, we would work to refer you to an appropriate outpatient provider.

Common reasons we would refer a student to outside services include requiring specialized treatment and/or more intensive services than we offer, such as:

• Substance use treatment
• Eating disorder treatment
• Intensive outpatient programs
• Day hospital programs
• Psychological evaluations
