The skies were clear and spirits high at Commencement ceremonies in Annapolis and Santa Fe.
A list of clues, released this past spring on Johnnie Day of Giving, pointed students in Annapolis and Santa Fe to 20 hidden plush axolotls—each named for a Program author and worth a $200 gift to St. John’s when found.
Tackling two different tongues—one ancient, the other contemporary—encourages Johnnies to “meaningfully think about the way that language constitutes our world, or vice versa, the way that our world constitutes language," says Santa Fe tutor Amie Zimmer.
